I am a senior software engineer with 20+ years of experience, mostly as a consultant in embedded systems, software development and firmware design. I originally learnt assembler on the ZX Spectrum as well as the C64 in the early 80's, and C on the Amiga. I have been working with IoT, real-time and/or distributed systems, including medical/life science. Technologies used are Linux, Android, down to ARM Cortex-M, ESP32, C167, 8051 and PIC, using the usual suspects SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, Modbus, ZigBee, WiFi, Bluetooth etc.

I occasionally make minor contributions to Wikipedia, Reddit, Stack Overflow, Slashdot, Quora, GitHub etc.
