Hi there,
Hope you’re doing well.
As you know, we host Geo for Good Summit every year and one of the favorite sessions are the lightning talks.
This year, Google Earth Outreach team is hosting a monthly event series inspired by the Geo for Good lightning talks by and for nonprofits, scientists and other change-makers who want to leverage mapping tools and technology for positive social or environmental impact in the world.
We hope those talks will inspire audiences to think of new ways they can have impact with Google’s tools or provide operational or practical hints to improve and optimize their workflows. Please see this document for the details.
The first session will air on 8th April PDT, with the theme ‘Google Earth Engine Apps’.
Please check this event website and register if you would like to tune in!
The theme of the second session in May is “Community Mapping”. We’d like to hear about projects that involved a community getting together to map their own assets, values, and beliefs (or any other focus that was chosen by the community)
If you’re interested in giving a talk on this topic, please submit your talk proposal via this application form by 2nd April Friday PDT.
We will review your proposal and get back to you.
If you have any questions, please check FAQ and if your questions are not answered there, email geoforg...@google.com.
Thanks!
Tomomi, on behalf of Google Earth Outreach team
