Former Lois Lane actress Amy Adams has given Superman's Rachel Brosnahan the perfect advice for the role.
In 2013, Amy Adams took over as Lois Lane after Kate Bosworth's short stint in Superman Returns. Following the dismantling of the Dceu and Henry Cavill's version of Superman, James Gunn is now set to reboot the characters, including a brand new Lois.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's Brosnahan was officially cast in June 2023 after previously admitting she "would jump at the chance if it arose."

Hollywood, for years, has been criticized for its lack of diversity and the systematic barriers people of color face within the industry. These challenges become more brutal when it comes to women of color, who often have to fight for leading roles as well as break several stereotypes they are subjected to.

Here’s how Scarlett Johansson’s fate lef her to be Black Widow (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Picture this: Scarlett Johansson as Lois Lane. She was this close to joining the DC universe in Superman Returns in 2006. But fate had other plans, and Scarlett made her mark at Avengers Tower instead of the Daily Planet. That detour? It led to her iconic role as Black Widow in the MCU—game changer.
Scarlett was in the running for Lois while McG was set to direct, with J.J. Abrams on the script. But when Bryan Singer took over, the role went to Kate Bosworth. Johansson’s near-miss? It worked out perfectly. We might never have seen her dominate as Black Widow if she had been Lois. And let’s face it, the MCU wouldn’t be the same.
Fast forward to 2010, and Scarlett made her MCU debut as Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2.

Sallie Ciganovich has styled actors’ hair on “Star Wars” streaming shows like “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka” and earned four Primetime Emmy nominations over her two-decade career.
But these days her struggle to find steady work in Hollywood has led her to reopen what she fondly calls “the shack in the back” — the eight-by-10-foot shed by her pool where she is cutting and coloring friends’ hair to help ensure her family’s survival.
“This was never meant to be my income,” Ciganovich told TheWrap on a recent Sunday, while standing against one wall of her shack, near a framed still from “The Mandalorian” signed by creator and showrunner Jon Favreau.
“It was just always meant to be where my friends would come over and get their hair cut. Or where I would do little projects. It was like my little safe space, where I would practice a hairstyle or whatever.

It's probably fair to say that Bryan Singer's Superman Returns was not well-liked by fans when it hit theaters back in 2006, but many would agree that Brandon Routh did a pretty good job in the role of Clark Kent/Superman.
The movie's tepid reception led to a planned sequel being scrapped, but Routh would get the opportunity to play the Man of Steel many years later as the Kingdom Come version of the legendary DC Comics hero for the CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths television event.
This appearance most likely marked Routh's final time in the iconic red and blue suit, but the actor has often spoken about his love for Superman and clearly has a strong grasp of what's made him such a popular and enduring character over the years.

In 2015, Netflix acquired the indie horror film “Circle,” which saw 50 strangers trapped in a room and forced to decide who would be the one survivor through a series of votes and debates about the worth of each human life.
Nearly a decade later, with the “12 Angry Men”-inspired project having become something of a cult hit, two producers of the film have reunited to create a sequel, “Circles.” Per the official logline, “17 years after being pawns in a cruel game of psychological warfare, the survivors of an invasion face a new threat.”
Michael Nardelli, who starred in “Circle” as lone survivor Eric, and Brent Stiefel are re-teaming to produce the sequel. Devon Graye is writing the film, which is financed and entering production later this year.

Can television have its own New Hollywood moment?
Much like movies such as Bonnie and Clyde, The Graduate, Rosemary’s Baby and Easy Rider took the late 1960s by storm, a group of writers and directors are hoping that their own independent TV projects can break through and find their way to the small screen amidst the current Hollywood contraction.
After a number of web series such as Issa Rae’s The Mis-Adventures of Awkward Black Girl, Broad City and High Maintenance were turned into TV series over the past decade, writers and directors hoped that this would lead to more.
However, the rise of streaming originals saw the business go the other way, with incredibly expensive dramas and comedies, often led by movie stars, taking over. This trend is now waning and a new generation of creators hopes that cost-conscious companies will now pay more attention to their projects instead.

Very sad news today as it’s been reported that M. Emmet Walsh has died at the age of 88. No matter the size of the role, the prolific character actor always made a unique impression throughout his long career, which spanned six decades.
M. Emmet Walsh is best known for playing Bryant in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner, the captain of the Los Angeles Police Department who tasks Deckard with tracking down the replicants at the beginning of the film. He told THR that the cast and crew weren’t quite sure what the make of the movie when they first saw it. “I don’t know if I really understood what in the hell it was all about,” Walsh said. “We all sat there and it ended. And nothing. We didn’t know what to say or to think or do! We didn’t know what in the hell we had done!

A couple of months back, James Gunn stated that the Superman: Legacy suit will not be revealed before the movie starts filming. But there’s an update regarding it from Rachel Brosnahan, who will play the role of Lois Lane. The 33-year-old actress recently teased the new Man of Steel suit that will be worn by co-star David Corenswet in Superman: Legacy.
Superman: Legacy is slated to star David Corenswet as the Dcu’s Man of Steel
Rachel Brosnahan has become the fourth actress to play the iconic DC Comics character on the big screen after Margot Kidder, Kate Bosworth, and Amy Adams. “I’m still preparing,” Rachel Brosnahan said Saturday on the SAG Awards red carpet about her big role as Lois Lane in James Gunn’s DC movie Superman: Legacy.
“I’m talking to some journalists, I’m reading a lot of comics — so many I hadn’t read before,” added the actress. “It’s been really fun to dig into this universe.”
Watch the conversation below.
Deadline’s chat with Brosnahan on the red carpet tonight comes in the wake of Gunn assembling the entire cast for a photo at the first script reading in Atlanta earlier this week. One of the big surprises was seeing Nicholas Hoult having already shaved head for his turn as Lex Luthor.

In 2022, after a decade of trying to keep up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and largely failing, Warner Bros. and DC decided a drastic course correction was required. The first step was to wind down the so-called DC Extended Universe or Dceu, and bid its chief architect, Zack Snyder, adieu. But even the shuttering of this ill-fated cinematic project proved to be a bit of a mess.
At the start of 2023, Warner Bros. found itself in the unenviable position of having announced the end of the Dceu with four movies tied to that on-screen universe still to release. Meanwhile, James Gunn and producer Peter Safran took over as co-heads of the newly-dubbed DC Studios and announced the DC Universe — a totally different project to the Dceu that may or may not have a few of the old characters popping up from time to time.

Steeped in lore and the political intrigue of medieval Britain, Lawhead presents a historically plausible origin story for Robin Hood. Each title within the series is told from the viewpoint of a member of the Sherwood Forest clan in an entirely new setting.

Justin Long has long been a Hollywood heartthrob. Throughout the years, fans have gotten small glimpses into his love life, as he was linked to famous actors such as Drew Barrymore and Amanda Seyfried, before finally finding love with Kate Bosworth. Following a quiet engagement, which the couple confirmed in April 2023, Long and Bosworth tied the knot shortly after.
