Four years ago today (June 25), iconic "Charlie's Angels" actress Farrah Fawcett lost her long battle with cancer at age 62.
Fawcett first captivated audiences with appearances on "I Dream of Jeannie" and "The Partridge Family," though it was her best-selling 1976 poster that turned her into a pop-culture icon.
Fawcett's final project, a video diary titled "Farrah's Story," chronicled her painful battle with anal cancer, a disease she was diagnosed with in 2006. The film drew an estimated 8.9 million viewers, making it the most-watched television program in its Friday night time slot in over a year, excluding the Olympics, according to NBC.

Farrah Abraham is thisclose to finalizing her reality-show so spinoff deal with MTV, the "Teen Mom" star told Us Weekly at Fashion Week in New York City.
"I'm just closing on it," Abraham said. "It's gonna be just about me and my life."
The original cast of "Teen Mom" concluded their fourth and final season last week, so at least some viewers will be happy to see Farrah's story continue.
Although she's never been a fan favorite, Farrah, whose daughter Sophia is 3, brings plenty of mama drama -- without handcuffs or rehab.
Plus, the 21-year-old's skyrocketing career offers plenty for the MTV cameras to film: She's currently on a book tour promoting her best-selling memoir, "My Teenage Dream Ended," has released several singles (yay for autotune!), is hawking her Mom & Me Italian sauce and will soon open her first restaurant in downtown Omaha, Neb.
What do you think of Farrah's latest reality TV venture?...

It's been one hell of an emotional rollercoaster for the stars of MTV's Teen Mom. We've watched Farrah, Maci, Amber and Catelynn grow from abruptly pregnant high school students to hardworking adults and mothers. And through all the tears and drama, we couldn't help but connect with Farrah as she struggled to get along with her mom, balance school and work, and deal with the death of her daughter Sophia's father.
I recently caught up with Farrah to talk about her last season of the show and what we can expect to see! Will she find the right guy? Find out below!

Collins Couldn't Watch Fawcett Documentary
Novelist Jackie Collins couldn't bring herself to watch her late friend Farrah Fawcett's cancer battle documentary, because she found the footage too "harrowing".
The Charlie's Angels star shot the two-hour TV film, titled Farrah's Story, as she battled the illness and it aired in May, 2009 - just a month before her tragic death.
Collins recorded the show with the intention of watching her pal's brave fight - but she refused to watch the film because she wanted to remember Fawcett when she was healthy.
The writer tells Britain's Ok! magazine, "I do think we see too much. There are things we shouldn't see. I just don't know why Farrah did that film. I recorded it at the time but then I deleted it because I just couldn't watch anything that harrowing. I loved Farrah, I just wanted to remember her the way she was."...

Farrah Fawcett's friends and family have dedicated a cancer-research foundation in her name. To mark the first anniversary of the "Charlie's Angels" star's death on Friday, June 25, her long-term partner Ryan O'Neal, son Redmond O'Neal, Ryan's daughter Tatum O'Neal and best friend Alana Stewart gathered at the new offices of the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, which aims to fund alternative treatments and improve the quality of life for those suffering from the disease.
Alana says Farrah, who detailed her three-year battle against anal cancer in 2009 documentary "Farrah's Story", started the foundation during her illness and Alana wanted to continue her good work. She said, "If I can help carry on Farrah's mission for the foundation, it's an honor for me. I feel almost like she's a guardian angel watching over me, and I feel like she's smiling down on us and very happy that she died for a cause."

The executors of Farrah Fawcett's estate have slammed allegations of financial mismanagement, branding the accusations by producer/filmmaker Craig Nevius "outrageous". Estate trustee Richard B. Francis sued Nevius in January, claiming he "sensationalized" the "Charlie's Angels" star's story in "amateurish" footage he produced for a documentary about her illness.
In the legal papers, Nevius is accused of seeking "misplaced revenge" when Fawcett rejected his work, by revealing private and personal information about the actress, giving out footage without her consent and embezzling cash from the trust she set up for the film. Nevius denied the claims, insisting he enjoyed a cordial working relationship with Fawcett before her death in June 2009 after a battle with anal cancer.
He recently filed his response to Francis' lawsuit, alleging the legal action itself is a misuse of Fawcett's funds and accusing executors of withholding cash from the tragic star's beneficiaries, including her elderly father.

Los Angeles, California (X17online) New controversy surrounding Farrah Fawcett's estate is brewing ... this time involving accusations that the late actress' money is being mishandled. Producer Craig Nevius has filed a lawsuit claiming that the estate's trustee is witholding money from some of the beneficiaries. This claim is in direct response to a lawsuit filed this past January by trustee Richard B. Francis against Nevius. Craig Nevius tells X17online exclusively: "I regret having to do any of this. But I am, at all times, honoring Farrah's expressed wishes and doing what she would expect me to do -- or would do herself if she could. That's why, in the name of Farrah Fawcett, I am publicly calling on the Attorney General to investigate the 'Farrah Fawcett Foundation' and interview a handful of Farrah’s trusted friends and associates with respect to Farrah’s knowledge and intent regarding this so-called 'charity.

The suit goes on to takes aim at Fawcett's longtime partner Ryan O'Neal and the actress' best friend Alana Stewart, who filmed the footage for Farrah's Story, the show which documented her losing her fight against the disease.
Nevius alleges Stewart took advantage of her relationship with Fawcett to boost sales of her book about life with the star.
But attorneys for Fawcett's estate have slammed Nevius' claims.
Howard Weitzman, who also represents O'Neal, Stewart and Francis, tells the Associated Press: "I've read Mr. Nevius' response to our complaint which I think contains spurious and outrageous allegations. I'm confident the truth will all come out during the course of the litigation."...

Ryan O'Neal is making a second documentary about Farrah Fawcett's cancer battle. The actor has commissioned a producer to work on a "tribute" show to his long-term partner - who died last June - and a film crew has been in the 'Charlie's Angels' star's home state of Texas to shoot a series of one-on-one interviews with her friends and family. Ryan's publicist, Arnold Robinson, said: "My understanding is that he is collecting recollections/memories of Farrah from her friends and family for archival purposes." It is believed the producer of the documentary is Stephanie Lynn, who has regularly been pictured with Ryan since Farrah's death. It is unclear if anyone who was involved in 'Farrah's Story' - which chronicled the...

Jackson: 'I Was Banned From Seeing Fawcett In Her Final Days'
Kate Jackson alleges she was banned from seeing her Charlie's Angels co-star Farrah Fawcett on her death bed - and constantly regrets not having the chance to say her final goodbyes to the actress.
Fawcett fought a long battle with anal cancer before her death in June, even filming her ongoing fight against the disease for a documentary, Farrah's Story.
But as Fawcett's condition deteriorated, Jackson - a close friend of the actress after their time spent on the spy series - was told to stop visiting her pal.
She tells RadarOnline.com, “I was shut out. I was prevented from saying goodbye to one of my best friends. I was walking across the lobby at her apartment, carrying a shopping bag with apples, grapes, green tea and as I got toward the elevator, the security guard yelled out ‘Ms Jackson, no-one upstairs.’
“I turned around, looked at the guard and said, ‘What?’ I was stunned. I walked over to him. I was really incredulous because this particular guard had seen me from the beginning. I asked him why and he said he didn’t know, but it had come from upstairs.
“From that moment on, we weren’t able to see or talk to Farrah, again. It was very upsetting."
She then confronted Fawcett's best friend, Alana Hamilton, over the situation and was told the ailing actress didn't want any visitors in her dying days - but Jackson is convinced she was lied to.
She adds, “Alana told me that was what Farrah wanted, because she didn’t want anyone to see her like that. That, to me, didn’t make much sense because the whole world was about to see her like that in the documentary, Farrah’s Story. It didn’t sound right.
“On the minuscule possibility that what Alana said was true, I did not wish to do something against Farrah’s wishes and just burst in. On the chance it was Farrah’s wishes, we all didn’t want to upset her. I wanted to respect her wishes. But to be truthful, I wish I had burst in, I really do.”...

The filmmaker who is facing a lawsuit from Farrah Fawcett's estate has dismissed accusations he fell out with the late actress over plans for her documentary - insisting he is looking forward to proving his case in court. In a suit filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday, January 22, representatives of the estate allege Craig Nevius "sensationalized" the "Charlie's Angels" star's story in the "amateurish" footage he produced.

Fawcett Filmmaker Dismisses Dispute Allegations
The filmmaker who is facing a lawsuit from Farrah Fawcett's estate has dismissed accusations he fell out with the late actress over plans for her documentary - insisting he is looking forward to proving his case in court.
In a suit filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday, representatives of the estate allege Craig Nevius "sensationalised" the Charlie's Angels star's story in the "amateurish" footage he produced.

But Nevius is adamant the claims aren't true, insisting he enjoyed a cordial working relationship with Fawcett, who died last year following a battle with anal cancer.
He says in a statement to E! News, "These accusations are nothing more than a fabricated press release disguised as a lawsuit. As much as I would like to answer the allegations and disprove them right here and right now in the court of public opinion, I will wait to do so in a court of law. I will be happy to let the work Farrah and I did together (over years) speak for itself. And I will be more than happy to let the video tapes, documents, witnesses and Farrah's own words (both written and spoken) speak for me and defend me, finally removing all doubt and suspicion as to what actually happened during the final months of her life and who her real exploiters are."
Nevius has already launched his own lawsuit against Fawcett's partner Ryan O'Neal, claiming the actor forced him out of the project.

Sure, there are lots of great '70s TV stars, but to us the greatest of them all was Farrah Fawcett. The "Charlie's Angels" star wasn't the best actress, but she cornered the market on '70s style - what girl didn't want to have that long, blonde feathered hair? - and she could flawlessly perform "hazardous duties" while wielding a gun in a bathing suit and high heels.
There were lots of lows in Farrah's professional and personal life. But Farrah certainly had some highs as well. Farrah Fawcett's last living trust omitted long-term partner Ryan O'Neal. The 'Charlie's Angels' actress - who lost her battle with cancer in June aged 62 - reportedly left $4.5 million to son Redmond O'Neal and $100,000 to ex-boyfriend Greg Lott, who has recently claimed he was the star's secret boyfriend but had been banned from seeing her by Ryan. However, Ryan and close friends Alana Stewart and Craig Nevius - who chronicled the actress' cancer battle in TV documentary 'Farrah's Story' - were not named in the document, which was most recently updated on 9 August 2007 and appeared to have been signed by the actress. Farrah also left $500,000 each to her nephew Greg Walls and father James Fawcett.

O'Neal Remembers Fawcett's Fight
Ryan O'Neal has paid tribute to the strength of his beloved partner Farrah Fawcett - insisting the actress clung to life for as long as she could after cameras stopped rolling in her Emmy-nominated documentary.
The iconic star, mother to the actor's 24-year-old son Redmond O'Neal, lost her battle with anal cancer on 25 June, aged 62.
Fawcett documented her fight with the disease in Farrah's Story, which followed the Charlie's Angel as she attempted to seek out new treatments in a bid to prolong her life.
The late actress received her fourth Emmy nomination on 16 July when she was recognised as an executive producer of the TV project.
And O'Neal insists Fawcett continued her brave fight even after shooting stopped.
He says, "She never closed her eyes. Her eyes were open for the last three weeks, watching us. She didn't speak much but she watched us and then finally she closed her eyes. I think she was holding on, she didn't want to go. She had things left on her plate to finish, to accomplish. And now she has an Emmy nomination. That's pretty wonderful."...

Ryan O'Neal has had a rough couple of years. As evidenced in the Emmy-nominated Farrah's Story, for nearly three years, he coped with holding the hand of his longtime love, Farrah Fawcett, as she battled cancer. And for the past month since her June 25 death, he has been coping with life without his angel. On the Today show this morning, the 68-year-old actor told Meredith Viera of his final conversations with the beauty—as well as his current conversations with her. "I said I'd see her soon," O'Neal recalled of his last moments with Farrah. "And I see her every day. And I write to her. I write in my journal now, to her." The star is encouraging his son with...

Farrah Fawcett has been nominated for a posthumous Emmy for her role as executive producer on "Farrah's Story," which chronicled her battle with anal cancer. The documentary allowed people at home to see Farrah at her lowest points, and to see just how truly devastating an illness Farrah was suffering from. Farrah was nominated for three Emmys for acting during her career, but never took home the trophy. Perhaps this will be the time that Farrah finally wins the award. Which would be fitting, as it seemed that the documentary was surely more important to Farrah than anything else she'd starred in.While she was of course most famous for he ...

Sigourney Weaver was "completely thrilled, astonished and delighted" with her lead actress in a miniseries or movie nomination for her work in Lifetime's "Prayers for Bobby." Weaver said she wasn't expecting a nomination for the telefilm, a true story about a mother who finds out her son is gay after he commits suicide. "Mary Griffith's story as a mother is such a wrenching one of what can happen to any parent if that parent doesn't have access to any other points of view," she said from New Mexico, where she is working on Greg Mottola's comedy "Paul." Weaver said she planned to call Griffith and Henry Czerny (Bobby) to celebrate. "I'm thrilled that this will help us get more exposure; the producers had been working for 13 years trying to get this made," she added.

An icon of the 70s whose career expanded well into this decade. Farrah Fawcett lost her struggle with cancer today, passing away at the age of 62. The Charlie's Angels star had been back in the headlines in recent months due to her illness, which was the subject of May's NBC's special Farrah's Story. Best known as the 70s pin-up whose hair was the first to inspire a national craze, Fawcett worked throughout her career to expand her repertoire, moving into Broadway work with 1983's Extremities and taking on a number of challenging TV movie roles. As late as 1997, after she'd done a controversial Playboy spread and gone loopy on Letterman, she had a supporting role in The Apostle, which earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actress. Fawcett may be best remembered for the hair, the tan, and the Charlie's Angels gun, but her dogged efforts to move...
