Loosely based on the writer/director Alessandra Lacorazza's childhood visiting her father in Colombia during the summers.
Sasha Calle was reportedly motivated to try out for her role in this film by Leslie Grace. They bonded following frustrating experiences while playing DC Comics superheroes. Calle portrayed Supergirl in The Flash (2023) and was originally set to appear in further productions, but James Gunn terminated her franchise. Grace had already started filming scenes as Batgirl, when Warner Bros. infamously shut down its production.
