Uncharted is a video game series widely appreciated by gamers, especially those who have owned a PlayStation console since the PS3. The series creator, Amy Hennig, is considered a trailblazer in the video game industry.

The Uncharted series is one of gaming’s most iconic franchises, and Amy Hennig has been at the helm of this success. For a franchise that would become similar to Tomb Raider at the time, the decision to make Nathan Drake the protagonist wasn’t random. It was a choice shaped by the industry’s dynamics and cultural influences.

As the creative mind behind the iconic game, Hennig explained why the lead character couldn’t be female. And it’s not what many might assume. The decision had nothing to do with avoiding controversy or being “anti-woke.” It was simply to not be a “Dude Raider.”

Prime Video's "Tomb Raider" series has seemingly found its Lara Croft in "Game of Thrones" veteran Sophie Turner, according to a report from Deadline.
At the end of October, the same outlet released an initial exclusive saying that Turner was a top choice to play the titular tomb raider alongside Lucy Boynton, with Emma Corrin ("The Crown") and Mackenzie Davis ("Station Eleven") also potentially in the running. Now, it seems as if the show, which is being spearheaded by "Fleabag" creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, may have settled on its lead actor.
If this comes to fruition, Turner certainly has big shoes to fill — she would join Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander as the only other two performers to play Lara Croft in live-action. It's important to make this abundantly clear: the report says that Turner is "in negotiations," so this bit of casting still isn't official just yet. I...

The TV rights to the Tomb Raider IP are in a weird split right now, creating a situation where Netflix can make an animated Lara Croft series at the same time that Amazon can make a live-action one. Hayley Atwell played Lara in the animated series released last month, but up to now, no one knew who would play her in Amazon’s show. Several actresses have been rumored, but now according to sources close to Variety, one has been picked. Sophie Turner was just chosen as the global artifact protector, following Alicia Vikander and Angelina Jolie before her. Amazon hasn’t made an official announcement regarding the casting, but the trades feel confident enough to yell it to the world. Gotta be honest….I wish it had been someone else. When I think of Sophie Turner the first role that comes to mind is Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones,...

Ghost of Yōtei Female Lead Atsu is getting unjust hate due to their personal life. Erika Ishii, who plays the lead in the next game by Sucker Punch, is a big advocate for calling out the unjust actions of those holding an office of power by openly criticizing their suppressive actions against the LGBTQ community.

Erika Ishii’s bold step against toxic fans has led many toxic fans of the game to the brink of frustration. Their decision to shut toxic people off is completely justified and should not be seen as a threat, nor should it affect the game since their personal lives and the game exist independently of each other.

The recent God of War games are a massive improvement from the original trilogy in every way possible. The storytelling, acting, combat mechanics, camera angle, and placement deserve to be credited to the director’s creative vision. Cory Barlog dreamed of making a video game without camera cuts or fading to black and he once pitched that idea to Crystal Dynamics and the latter rejected his idea. Fortunately, his ambitious dream fully manifested in his hit 2018 project later inspiring other developers.

Crystal Dynamics couldn’t handle Cory’s ambitious idea and their loss was Santa Monica Studio’s gain. The one-shot camera technique made the game look and feel more cinematic, and this method didn’t ruin or take away the immersion throughout the journey.

New Eridu’s intrepid “Hollow Raiders” seek fortune in these shattered landscapes known as Hollows, guided from afar by gifted hackers called Proxies. You play as a proxy named Belle or Wise, helping Raiders plumb the depths of such places from the safety of your video shop.
Using cybernetically linked drones called Bangboos, you see through a Raider’s eyes and assist their exposure. Each hollow presents a different maze of ruined cityscapes styled as flickering television screens. Solving puzzles and skirmishing foes alike, Raiders advance towards objectives while you watch for dangers.
