The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers suggest that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has fallen for Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) act and is determined to get her out of jail. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) are furious that Bill has helped her. How long will it be before Luna comes after Steffy again?
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Luna Nozawa Has Perfected Her Innocent Act
Luna knows just how to play Bill like a fine-tuned instrument. Luna plays on his sympathies until he cannot resist being there for her.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Bill is thinking very much about anyone else in this situation. Luna not only killed two people, but she also tried to kill a third, Steffy Forrester.
Steffy and Finn are furious that Bill would move Luna into his house and anywhere near one of Steffy’s children.

While every major media outlet will suck up to major Hollywood stars because they need access to interviews and video clips for search engine optimization, I cannot ignore how Jake Gyllenhaal is woefully miscast in the role of Rusty Sabich. It becomes increasingly evident as the series progresses.

Given how much of a phenomenon the first Squid Game was, many felt a sequel was uncalled for. Although a notable portion of the audience presumed that season 2 would be more or less the same, surprisingly, instead of rehashing the already proven formula, the second season is doing its own thing.
Squid Game season 2 | Credit: Netflix
While season 2 is only half the story, which is set to continue in the next season, fortunately for the viewers, it is more than just a stepping stone for the potential final chapter, filled with well-rounded characters.

Considering that the first Squid Game was a complete package, when the sequel was announced, not many were confident that it’d excel, especially when it came to the chemistry between the main characters. Although the...

Although the ratings and word-of-mouth might not reflect it, 2024 has been an incredible year for Apple TV+. We didn't get a new season of Ted Lasso, but there were so many good shows released on Apple TV+ this year.
There's no doubt that this streaming service is making some of the best and highest-quality TV shows. The TV shows I'm leaving off this list of the best Apple TV+ shows of the year are better than most of the top shows from more popular streaming services.
If you missed any of these good Apple TV+ shows in 2024, it's time to watch them before the end of the year and Apple rolls out a whole new slate of shows in 2025.
Let's get the list started with one of the most popular Apple TV+ shows of the year, Presumed Innocent starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

After eight episodes of twists and turns, the whole truth finally comes into focus in No Good Deed‘s finale — but where can the dark comedy go from here?
Throughout the season, viewers had pieced together that Jacob’s sister Emily (played by Generation’s Chloe East) had shot and killed her brother after mistaking him for a burglar. In Episode 8, however, Lydia (Friends’ Lisa Kudrow) and Paul (Ray Romano) learn new details about their son’s death.

Dramas are great because they're, well, dramatic. And that's just the fix some of us need in our lives. While there's some that are purely there for dramatic purposes, there's other shows that provide so much more with a well-rounded story. And that's what we like to see! This year had great options that fit that bill. And we shared some of our favorites. Here's 5 best drama shows of 2024!
Katie Yu/FX Shōgun on FX/Hulu
Shōgun started out the year with a bang, with the show first debuting on FX in February 2024. Episodes are now streaming on Hulu if you want to check it out! The historical drama definitely impressed us viewers, and swept the major awards at the Emmys as well. And it deserves it. The show is set in 1600 Japan and is centered around Lord Yoshii Toranaga and the political fights he faces. The series' storytelling, movie-like quality,...

Luna and Remy have yet to meet their match. The tragically hopeless characters are staying in Los Angeles. Both also have an obsession with other people. But they don’t know they would make the perfect supervillain power couple on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Innocent Good Looks
Luna (Lisa Yamada) was once the new girl on the scene. She easily won over Rj Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) with her good-girl looks. But she was keeping a dark secret.
Luna lived up to her name when she slithered into Zende’s (Delon Det Metz) bed. She initially claimed she was drugged and had no idea what she was doing. Luna was also responsible for the murders of Hollis (Hollis Chambers) and her biological father, Tom Starr (Howard Clint).

Harlen Coben’s Missing You comes to Netflix at the very start of 2025 – and here’s the trailer for the new Netflix production.
The Harlan Coben thriller is quickly becoming its own subgenre. So far, 12 of his high-octane, twisty novels have made their way to the screen. Among the highlights, Tell No One was adapted into a terrific French film of the same name in 2006, directed by Guillaume Canet and starring Francois Cluzet and Kristen Scott Thomas.
On television, The Five, Safe, Innocent, Just One Look, No Second Chance, The Stranger, The Woods, Gone For Good, Stay Close, Hold Me Tight and – most recently – Fool Me Once have all been adapted variously for Channel 5 and Netflix. It’s thanks to the huge success of Fool Me Once, which landed on Netflix last Christmas, that two more adaptations were commissioned.

It was the “love of the book” that brought the powerhouse duo of producer J.J. Abrams and showrunner David E. Kelley together for Apple TV+’s reimagining of Scott Turow’s bestselling legal thriller “Presumed Innocent.”
They’d vowed to team up for years, but it took Covid for the stars — and their schedules — to finally align to allow them to put their shared creative talents together. Given health restrictions, studios were looking for projects that could be produced in contained circumstances, so courtroom dramas were a natural place to hunt for ideas. Abrams asked Kelley if there was any book that he’d be interested in adapting, “and the first one that came to mind was ‘Presumed Innocent’,” Kelley tells Gold Derby in our exclusive video interview. As luck would have it. Abrams’ production company had secured the rights years earlier. Watch the video interview above.

Manga or anime, both have a unique way of capturing emotions and weaving them into unforgettable stories. Over the years, many iconic anime have given their own twist to Dracula’s story, but Sakamoto Shinichi’s latest #Drcl: Midnight Children manga takes it to new heights. Interestingly, the recent manga cover showcases some hidden references to the legendary pop star, Michael Jackson, that many fans couldn’t ignore.

Indeed, the manga is a beautiful and chilling retelling of Bram Stoker’s quintessential horror classic. Midnight Children reminds audiences several times throughout that it’s meant to be a story where gender, nationality, and social status are disregarded in the face of a common enemy. Following the manga’s huge success, the #Drcl Volume 5 cover pays tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, reigniting fans’ dreams.

Since Netflix shook up the film and series world, tons of other streaming options have popped up. Over time, they’ve all developed their own original content, which has helped each platform stand out. The problem is that Apple TV+ seems to have dropped the ball here. Sure, creating original shows is great, but they still need to be promoted.

Even so, Apple’s streaming service is still seen by a lot of movie buffs as one of the best — if not the best — when it comes to quality. Their series even outshine many of Netflix’s big hits, yet hardly anyone knows about them. These are shows that definitely deserve more public recognition.

The Agatha All Along star on casting a spell over the small screen
“I’ve always envisioned myself being in a Marvel, ever since I was a kid,” says Joe Locke. “Ever since” in this case is not reaching very far back into the past. Locke is still just 20 and he’s already achieved that childhood dream. In the upcoming Marvel TV series Agatha All Along, a WandaVision spin-off, Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha has been stripped of her witchy magic and is on a quest to restore it. The last few years haven’t been short on pinch-me moments for Locke. In 2021, he was just any other teenager, growing up on the Isle Of Man, “applying to normal universities to study history and politics”. Then he attended an open...

Hollywood’s unshakable obsession with video game adaptations is showing no signs of slowing down, even though these projects are notoriously tricky to nail. Watching Barbara Sabich in Apple TV’s Presumed Innocent is like watching a punching bag make its way through an infinite circle of BattleBots.
After the release of Presumed Innocent, most of the talk covers the various aspects of Jake Gyllenhaal’s portrayal of Rusty Sabich, mainly in a bad light.
It’s easy enough to peg Rusty as the antagonist throughout the series. The guy is just awful in so many ways, from his predilection toward narcissism at every turn to his full-blown embrace of serial infidelity.
(Apple TV+)
“Presumed Innocent” is misleading. Sure, that’s the nexus around which a fair justice system in a free country revolves, but Rusty is anything but.

In the past, crime procedurals combined quirky investigations, important relationships between the cast, and witty banter to create a fun, light-hearted series.
However, many current procedurals focus more on gritty violent crimes, and it’s challenging to balance between showing realistic cases and adding some humor.

Castle had an outstanding balance of humor and case logistics, keeping a light-hearted tone that meshed well with the grislier aspects of its murder plots.

Tommy Molto won’t be available to kick around anymore: Peter Sarsgaard says that he won’t be returning as the high-strung prosecutor for the second season of Presumed Innocent on Apple TV+.
Sarsgaard’s much-maligned Molto went after Jake Gyllenhaal’s Rusty Sabich in David E. Kelley’s adaptation of the Scott Turow novel.
“I’m not really that interested in sequels,” Sarsgaard told IndieWire. “I think I’ve only ever done one season of anything. I think I’m a one-season person … I tell my kids this sometimes, maybe I’ve done 90, 100 different things over the years between movies, TV shows, and plays. I say, ‘I’m very good at saying hello and saying goodbye.’ There’s a very valuable thing in saying goodbye because then you have to look for another source of inspiration and then you change.”

Peter Sarsgaard is more than presumably done with “Presumed Innocent.”
The Apple TV+ series, which also starred Sarsgaard’s frequent collaborator and brother-in-law Jake Gyllenhaal, was renewed for a second season in July 2024. While Gyllenhaal will return as an executive producer along with David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams, there is no casting news yet. It is likely the limited legal-thriller series will be reimagined as an anthology series: Apple’s announcement teased only that Season 2 will “unfold around a suspenseful, brand new case.”
Either way, it will be without Sarsgaard as prosecutor Tommy Molto. The actor told IndieWire that he will not be appearing in “Presumed Innocent” Season 2, and instead opts to never revisit any of his past roles.
“I’m not really that interested in sequels. I think I’ve only ever done one season of anything… I think I’m a one-season person,” Sarsgaard said while promoting his upcoming indie film “Coup!.

Apple TV+ on June 12 announced that limited series Presumed Innocent will return for a second season, with creator David E. Kelley, J.J. Abrams and Season 1 star Jake Gyllenhaal back as executive producers and author Scott Turow as co-executive producer.
Twelve days later, the Season 1 finale dropped, and it offered no hints as to what may happen next. We are now finding out why. (You can read our story on the finale’s double twist here.)
“We discussed the possibility of a second season during production, but then Apple brought it up to us in post,” Abrams said about the timing of the Season 2 renewal conversations, which kicked off in earnest after Season 1 was already in the can. “Nothing was ever shot to set up a second season. Our focus was telling the story of Carolyn’s murder and Rusty’s trial, and wrapping that up at the end of the first season.

Craftspeople rarely get the spotlight that actors and directors get. However, Donald Mowat is not like most craftspeople. Over the past ten years, Mowat’s career put him at the center of some of Hollywood’s very best movies. After working on Dune, Blade Runner 2049, and Nightcrawler, Mowat kept his options open.
A long-time collaboration with Jake Gyllenhaal led to Presumed Innocent, allowing Mowat to dive into unique makeup effects with an all-star cast. The resulting series highlights much of what Mowat has to offer, and the Oscar-nominated makeup designer takes full advantage over the series. With the finale this week, Mowat sat down with FandomWire to discuss his work. This interview was completed prior to the announcement that Presumed Innocent will have a second season. Presumed Innocent, the Apple TV + original series, is also based on the novel written by Scott Turrow, just like the 1990 film of the same name. Though the conflict and the subplots of both the series and the film are pretty much the same, there are a few differences pertaining to the character arcs and their role in the narrative. Also, the series brought a twist at the end and changed the conclusion as compared to what was shown in the film.

Apple renews Presumed Innocent for Season 2 after the Jake Gyllenhaal-led thriller climbs the charts
Apple TV+ is so thrilled with the performance of its new legal drama Presumed Innocent that it is renewing the Jake Gyllenhaal-led thriller for another season. Some creative forces behind the first season, David E. Kelly, J.J. Abrams, and Gyllenhaal, return as executive producers for Presumed Innocent Season 2, with author Scott Turow co-executive producing. Wait. Isn’t Presumed Innocent a one-and-done story? Not when money is waiting in the wings, my friends!
Presumed Innocent debuted on Apple TV+ one month ago and has been tearing up the charts since then. It’s the most-viewed drama ever on Apple TV+, with the final two episodes arriving on July 17 and July 24. Another successful limited series is becoming an ongoing drama series — Apple TV+ has ordered a second season of legal thriller Presumed Innocent, with David E. Kelley, J.J. Abrams and Season 1 star Jake Gyllenhaal returning as executive producers and author Scott Turow as co-executive producer.
The news comes a month into the run of Presumed Innocent, which already has become the #1 most viewed drama of all time on Apple TV+, per the streamer, as the story is headed into its conclusion with the final two episodes dropping July 17 and July 24.
There are no details about Season 2 beyond the fact that it “will unfold around a suspenseful, brand new case.”

The fourth season of The Boys premiered on June 13, 2024, and is still ongoing with several episodes left before the finale. The series received a Certified Fresh rating but has been review-bombed by haters and toxic fans due to its political satire. The production team, however, hasn’t been fazed by this backlash; they openly criticized such fans, with showrunner Eric Kripke even suggesting they stop watching the show. Despite concerns that this could impact ratings, the season initially enjoyed a 21% viewership boost compared to Season 3, as confirmed by Amazon.
However, recent data from Lumitate, which tracks streaming viewership, shows that the season is now experiencing a drop in viewership. Yet, this decline might be more complex than it appears.
Luminate is renowned for delivering the most reliable public data on the viewership of streaming series and films. This is why nearly every major media source frequently cites them to gauge the current trends.

Attorney-turned-selling novelist Scott Turow made the cover of Time magazine the summer of 1990 describing him as the “Bard of the Litigious Age.” And 34 years later, the 75-year-old still is. Over the past four decades, Turow has written 13 works of fiction which have been translated into 40 languages and have sold more than 30 million copies. Several have been transformed into miniseries and TV movies.
In fact, Hollywood filmmakers were salivating in 1987 for the rights to Turow’s first novel, “Presumed Innocent,” a clever, sexy murder mystery with twists and turns that would baffle even Columbo, about a prosecutor accused of murdering the attractive colleague with whom he had been romantically involved “It began a sort of Hollywood frenzy,” Turow told me in a 1992 L.A. Times interview. “It was one weekend’s madness.” And for good reason, the novel spent 44 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list and another five months on the paperback charts.

Created by David E. Kelley and based on Scott Turow’s 1987 novel of the same name, Presumed Innocent is a twisty legal thriller revolving around a murky case and morally compromised characters. We won’t find out who’s guilty until the very end of the Apple TV+ series, but with each reveal we start to realize that nobody is entirely innocent.
Rusty Sabich (Jake Gyllenhaal), Chicago’s chief deputy prosecutor, appears to be living the dream, cleaning up the streets by day and returning to his luxurious home at night to crash on the couch with his beautiful wife, Barbara (Ruth Negga), and their two children, Jaden (Chase Infiniti) and Kyle (Kingston Rumi Southwick). But that seemingly idyllic dream turns into a nightmare when Rusty’s colleague and secret lover, Carolyn Polmheus (Renate Reinsve), is brutally murdered and he finds himself at the very top of the suspects list.

That’s the message sent by the new teaser for “Presumed Innocent,” Apple TV+’s limited series adaptation of Scott Turow’s 1987 novel, which was previously adapted in 1990 as a film starring Harrison Ford.
The eight-part series hails from superproducers David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams, with Kelley serving as writer and showrunner. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Rusty Sabich, a Chicago deputy prosecutor whose life gets thrown into chaos when he’s suspected of murdering Carolyn (Renate Reinsve), a colleague with whom he had an affair. Apple TV+ has revealed the first teaser-trailer for “Presumed Innocent” starring Jake Gyllenhaal, from Emmy-winning creator David E. Kelley.
Gyllenhaal narrates the trailer as Rusty Sabich, a man seemingly consumed by his love for a woman named Carolyn (Renate Reinsve). “She woke something up inside me,” he says as the footage cuts between his time with her and images of cars and courtrooms and arguments — clearly invoking a darker twist in this alleged romance. Carolyn, it turns out, has been murdered and, given their history, Rusty is the prime suspect.
What the trailer leaves out is extra juicy: Rusty and Carolyn were coworkers and prosecutors, and the suspected crime sends waves through the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office as they mourn a colleague, reel from an affair, and pursue a murder investigation — to say nothing of how it affects Rusty’s marriage and home life.

Since 2009, Taylor Swift and Kanye West have been locked in one of the tensest battles in celebrity history. They mostly stayed out of each other’s ways after their first, infamous, televised moment together until a public reconciliation in 2015 made it seem like all of that was just water under the bridge. But who knew the worst was yet to come?
Things between Swift and West would not only worsen immensely in 2016, after West released his song “Famous,” but their web would soon entangle Kim Kardashian, Scooter Braun, and even Justin Bieber.
