  • Diversity is not a one time fix Building a culture of inclusion takes time and dedication. Many organizations approach diversity as a checkbox exercise – hire a few people from different backgrounds, and voila! Instant inclusion. But here's the secret: diversity is just the first step. True inclusion creates an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique talents and perspectives. This doesn't happen overnight. It's a continuous journey that requires ongoing effort and commitment from everyone in the organization. So, what can you do to move from diversity to true inclusion? • Invest in Ongoing Training: Go beyond basic diversity training. Offer workshops and resources focused on unconscious bias, microaggressions, and inclusive communication. • Develop an open-door police: Provide a space where employees can connect, raise concerns and share ideas freely. • Measure Your Progress: Track key metrics like employee engagement, retention, and representation across levels. Regularly assess your progress and adjust your strategies as needed. • Building a truly inclusive workplace is an ongoing commitment, but the rewards are well worth it. We just finished our Upwards Feedback focus groups for one of our clients at Inclusionem For the past few weeks we've been helping a client to conduct upward feedback for their executive teams... and it's actually been so much fun to work together as a team. Focus groups - done Individual reports - done 1:1 feedback sessions - done Executive report - done General report on findings and recommendations - done It is truly incredible how much you can learn about organizational strengths and opportunities, as well as the power of each leader, through qualitative data collection.     This year marks 4 years of running Inclusionem . When I started, I had to hold everything on my own. Today, we have over 20 consultants and strategic partners from different parts of the world working on projects globally. While having a team has been an incredible support, it still requires staying on top of everything. I wear many hats as a wife, mother, CEO at Inclusionem, Adjunct professor and academic director IE University, and DBA Candidate. I don't believe in work-life balance; I believe in work-life integration. There are seasons when I spend more time with my kids and seasons when I travel and work a lot. Maintaining a healthy integration between work, learning, and family is important. I often have many balls in the air and I have to catch all of them. So, how do I do it? Here are some time management strategies that keep me afloat: 1. I say no to good things so I can say yes to the great things. 2. Let go of control and allow others to step in - delegate as much as possible at work and home to create space for quality time with family.  3. Prioritize: make a description of what are the most important things I want to achieve every week/month and focus on that. 4. Quality is more important than quantity - with my husband and kids, it's not always about how much time we spend but how we spend it.  Some days, some of the balls fall, but I can pick them up later. Having the right people, routine and system grounds me and keeps me on track. What does integrating work and life look like for you? #TimeManagement #BalancedLife
