Ratings and Reviews
Can we enable parents call even under school time setting?
Everything looks great, but a request as above please don’t disable parents phone call under school lock. It’s better to have a warning or a separate option lset the cell phone call under school lock. School lock is mainly to prevent kids from being distracted at school but not so much for parents to get connected with them.
Game-changer
As a parent, this watch has been a game-changer. The peace of mind that comes with knowing where my 8-year-old daughter is at all times is invaluable. The ability to communicate with her directly through the watch is a fantastic bonus - it's like having a mini phone without all the distractions.
The "school time" feature is genius! It's a simple way to ensure that she focuses on schoolwork during the day without having to constantly remind her to put the watch down. I love that she still enjoys the watch after school hours, with its fun games and activity goals that keep her motivated to stay active.
Overall, this watch is a fantastic tool for both parents and kids. Highly recommend!
No watch to watch calls; locked into gmail
The good: calls and gps are reliable. The bad: (1) no watch to watch calls (so my kids cannot coordinate leaving school together or walking to school with their friends); (2) only Gmail users may be added to contacts; and (3) calls to phones only may be made to users of Gmail accounts via the Fitbit ACE app. For us, this has meant very limited functionality: contacting parents and grandparents. That’s it. None of my young children’s friends have email accounts or access to receive calls on the parents’ phones (parents of friends would have to opt into the Fitbit ACE app). None of this information was disclosed up front. This only became apparent when trying to set up the watch. I probably would not have bought these watches given the limited functionality.
