Startups will be able to tap crucial financing before IPOs

TOKYO -- U.S. asset manager Neuberger Berman will establish a fund here in December that includes unlisted Japanese stocks.

The fund, which will invest about 50% of the money it raises into that asset class, will be offered to megabanks and other financial institutions.
