A day of coding, collaboration, and creativity: the TEDAI Vienna Hackathon was another highlight of the conference and proved that the future of AI in Europe is diverse, creative and truly thought-provoking. 🧠 At the TEDAI Vienna Hackathon on Oct 17, 2024, hosted by UNIDO and taking place at the United Nations in Vienna, a group of 21 hand-picked bold, creative and innovative minds was gathered to work out AI-based solutions to address real-world issues. 🌐💡🤝 After an intense working session, the participants presented their truly impressive ideas to our high-level jury members Jia Zhu, Thomas Dohmke and Ahmad Haj Mosa, PhD, proposing ideas to use AI in e.g. 💡 the detection of menopause syndroms 💡 the fight against human trafficking 💡 better prediction of supply chains 👏⭐ Congratulations to the winning team with their idea of integrating Artificial Intelligence to predict food waste, thus helping to combat the problem of food waste. Thank you to all the participants for bringing in new perspectives on the use of AI and for all your hard work you've put in🤝💡 Many thanks to UNIDO Jason Slater for hosting and to PwC for sponsoring this unique undertaking to unravel the future potential of AI. One of the highlights of TEDAI Vienna's Discovery Day was exploring the Austrian capital’s tech and AI scene through our unique Idea Adventures! Attendees had the chance to experience the city from different perspectives with these remarkable activities: - An eye-opening walking tour of Vienna’s tech hotspots, led by urbanist and TEDx speaker Eugene Quinn. - A curated journey through art, design, and architecture at the historic MAK Museum—the world’s second-oldest museum of applied arts. - A visit to Scheer, the renowned generational shoemaker, crafting bespoke shoes entirely by hand since 1816. - The opportunity to design a personal perfume using AI, hosted by ScenTronix™ and the BOLD Community. - An energising breathwork session with Dr. Lucas H. of GOODLIFE BREATHING, designed to boost clarity and vitality. - A tour through centuries of knowledge in the magnificent Austrian National Library. Each Idea Adventure offered a unique way to connect with Vienna and discover new dimensions of tech, art, and tradition!
