The face of the ring is very wide, almost as wide as one would expect in a signet ring, and nearly shaped as a dome. In fact, this bold looking ring seems to be inspired by several aesthetic movements. On the one hand, the lacy, airy, filigree work, which decorates the face of the ring all the way down past the shoulders, recalls the Art Nouveau period, while the geometric square in which the diamond is bezel set, is clearly a feature of the Art Déco influence. But this eye-catching ring shows elements past these two movements and can easily place it within the Retro period. (1940-1950) This impressive looking ring features one natural round-cut diamond, of excellent quality, measuring approximately 3mm. Although its massive appearance would dress up any attire for a special dinner or occasion, its charming lacy craftsmanship suggests a great possibility as an engagement ring.
