When I opened a parcel this morning and found this gorgeous clean piece of giant bubble wrap I felt the instant need to make a frosty alcohol ink print. It had been way too long since I last used alcohol ink on my gel plate. And with ice on the roof of the car this morning when we woke up it is totally appropriate too 😅

Gelli Arts® Gel Printing on Instagram: "Artist Tip 💡 Trash🗑 or Treasure💎 Edition from Gelli Arts® Artist @birgit_koopsen♥️ As a printmaker you should have a good look at every piece of trash you are about to throw away. It might just be a gel printing treasure worth holding on to! How about a paper towel tube? It is a perfect base for an ongoing pattern tool! 1. Cut the tube to the desired size 2. Make a small notch on the side of the tube and pull the beginning of some string through 3. Secure the string on the inside with a piece of tape 4. Wrap the string around the tube, going back and forth, and secure the end the same way. 5. Slide the tube on a fluffy paint roller from the hardware store 6. Roll out a thin layer of acrylic paint on the gel plate 7.
