Spent an afternoon baking this strawberry elderflower lemon cake as a little indulgence to end the week. I’ve been learning more about food photography and thought I’d share behind the scenes, experimenting with light airy lighting and dark moody lighting.

I love it when you can make the most chocolaty fudge brownie cake with the simplest of ingredients. And add some chocolate ganache on top.

This pretty pink champagne cake is made with pink champagne in both the cake and the buttercream, giving it the most wonderful flavor that everyone will love! This cake is perfect for Valentine's Day, or any other special occasion, anniversary or holiday.

The art direction, concept and styling for this series was created as a playful take on diner cakes and hastily packaged leftovers from childhood. Food nostalgia with single use items like plastic wrap runs deep in the Midwest. Series was shot in studio.
