Former Station #4 of the Battle Creek Fire Department. Opened on July 2nd,1904 and was used by the department until January 1st, 1983. Station is now in private ownership and is being restored to its original form in order to be used as a fire museum.

My great grandmother, Rosabel Tenney, was the librarian at the Battle Creek Sanitarium for many years. The sanitarium was built in 1878 and some of the buildings burnt down in 1902. I'm not sure, if this postcard picture is part of the original or newer building. There were between 800-1000 employees with up to 1,000 patients.
