Sanju Patel | DIY from a Dad on Instagram: "I need your help. I couldn’t decide on a bench design, so I made it 3 different ways using materials you can find at the hardware store all for about $100. And I’m going to show you how to make them this summer. Which is your favorite? First Bench:  Join two 2x4’s to form the legs using construction adhesive and screws, minimizing sawing. Cut the 8-foot section into 18-inch pieces for the bench height. Create a 6-foot frame spanning two 2x6’s. Place the frame on top of the 2x6’s and attach the legs at each corner. This basic but sturdy bench has a removable top for easy carrying. Second Bench: The next bench is ideal for beginners. At 6 feet long, its legs are made from alternating 18-inch 1x4’s and 14.5-inch 2x4’s, glued and nailed together. PUBLISHED 11/24/2109I love the look of various seating options at the dining room table - elegant chairs at the heads of the table, wooden chairs, and a bench.
