Japanese spirits are celebrating their new era these days and now uniquely Japanese vodka brands are appearing in the domestic market. Their original tastes are worth trying in 2023.

Haku Vodka, produced in Japan, is made from 100% white rice and is filtered through bamboo charcoal. According to our reviewers, this well-made bottling can be sipped on its own, shines in a Martini, and is an excellent value.

While paying a little visit to the Yamazaki Distillery Museum I had the opportunity to sample 3 of their fantastic whiskies - The Yamazaki Limited Edition 2022, Hibiki Blossom Harmony 2022 and The Yamazaki 18-Year-Old Single Malt.

We profile five different 12 Year Old Japanese Whiskies: Yamazaki, Hakushu, Nikka Taketsuru, Nikka Miyagikyo and Hibiki.

Costco seems to have quite a selection of Japanese whiskey. I don't know much about Japanese whiskey, but I know if Costco has it, it's probably quite popular. This Costco Suntory Whiskey was on display at the front of the alcohol & liquor section. Scroll for photos.
