Empire Today recently conducted a survey of 1,519 U.S. citizens, and asked people to vote on their least favorite home decor trend of each decade.

Based on the track suit, the brightly coloured polyester outfits soared in popularity during the 1980s and early nineties and were favoured by Sir Jimmy Savile.
