At first glance, you may think that this sculpture is actually covered with translucent fabric. Take a closer look and you’ll realize that the veil isn’t textile but rather marble. That’s the marvel of The Veiled Virgin, a 19th century sculpture by Italian artist Giovanni Strazza.
