Quilled Paper Earrings * Entirely handmade * I make them almost entirely of paper, by curling and shaping eighth-inch wide strips, and then adding beaded accents. * I learned to quill as a child, and have again picked it up as an adult, experimenting and stretching the boundaries of this ridiculously fun and addictive art form! * I start with a simple shape, and fill it in intuitively to create each finished jewelry item. * Although made of paper, all of my creations are safely sturdy and rigid, due to the glue and protective sealer that I use. * Protected with an acrylic, matte finish, paper sealer * Although carefully treated with a paper sealant, earrings should be kept away from excessive moisture and bright sunlight for extended periods of time. * Also available as clip-ons - please contact me! * I use gold-plated or silver-plated hooks.
