The Technology and Innovation Banking team is proud to have hosted BKR Capital for their Inspire & Aspire - engaging the next generation session and cocktail hour following their AGM. It was an incredible afternoon filled with meaningful dialogue, inspiration and community building. During the event, high school students were able to hear from and directly engage with founders from BKR Capital’s portfolio. Students tackled real-world challenges presented by these founders, working collaboratively to develop and present solutions. This experience was not only an opportunity to inspire young minds but also a moment to hear fresh perspectives that spark meaningful conversations. After the students departed, the day concluded with a cocktail hour and a captivating fireside chat featuring @baron Baron Davis and Ekow Nimako, who shared insights from an Afrofuturistic lens. It was a moment to connect, network, and reflect on the power of innovation.

What a fantastic way to support the YMCA of Southern Interior BC ! Despite the heat, the generosity on display was incredible, with over $110,000 raised locally—all of which will stay in the community. A huge thank you to Wilson M. Beck Insurance Services for being the Major Sponsor once again. For the third year in a row, Scotiabank and Roynat Capital were proud to be the Player Cart sponsors. We also extend our gratitude to all the other sponsors and golfers who participated and donated to this wonderful cause. It was a bonus that our Scotiabank Team came out victorious, but the real winners of the day were the YMCA of Southern Interior BC and the families and children who will benefit from everyone’s generosity.
