A woman's corset or pair of stays in white cotton jean (twill weave) lined with a plain woven white cotton. It is entirely handsewn in tan cotton thread in backstitch. There is a decorative pattern of four hearts and arches sewn over the bust. A plain wooden busk is inserted in the slot at the front. There are nine ivory eyelets on each side of the back.
