We had been needing a new coffee table for a while and, when MoneySupermarket got in touch to ask if we'd like to be part of their Room For Improvement Challenge, we knew it was the perfect excuse to make something special! I've always dreamed of having a great way to display my squished penny collection, so Tom turned the top of our coffee table in to a shadowbox, with individual compartments for each penny.

We found a fun way to display pressed pennies. All that is needed are the pressed pennies, a large canvas, a pencil with an eraser, black paint, paint brush, a printed pattern, and a hot glue gun.

The shadow box I made for my pressed pennies. I have been collecting them since 1996 and kept them in a box. It is nice to have them out on display.
