Loc Blog on Instagram: "Hey loc girlies, so the short answer is YES… I’m sharing this because I know we’ve all been there... & if you haven’t, I pray you never have to! I had a major setback early in my loc journey. I went to someone who was supposed to be experienced, but they used some weird edge control mixture that wreaked havoc on my scalp! I mean, we’re talking breakage, thinning, the whole nine yards. I was so hurt and frustrated, I almost shaved my head! But I’m so glad I didn’t, because if I had, I would’ve missed out on the beauty that was to come. So, here’s what this setback taught me: 1) always know what products are going onto your locs/scalp. You know your hair better than anyone else, and 2) reach out to a loc expert for help when things go wrong.
