Julie Collings on Instagram: "Art group is tonight and Shannon has planned such an amazing project, we are making textile moths and butterflies. I experimented with a body pattern a bit last night and dyed a few samples so I would have something to stitch on tonight. Dyed silk velvet wings look luminous with the saturated color and the tiny wings are made with a vintage silk handkerchief. Not sure about how the wired wings will attach, I might try something a bit different for the next set.
