Faceted Moissanite, a colorless (3 mm) bead set in this filagree ring. This very special sterling silver ring is a size 9 3/4. I produced this unique vintage design using old, hand working techniques. The motif is a vintage Art Deco style geometric filagree design. The design was crafted as a unique piece from several carvings, originals that were reproduced in solid steel dies I pressed annealed sterling silver into the die with repeated cycles of annealing and trimming. Using tons of pressure, hand controlled, the design was pressed into the silver. Then the piece was trimmed and formed into a ring. I pierced the gallery using hand sawing. There are many individual piercings in this. I set a nice sparkly 3 mm faceted moissanite. This is how rings were made before casting was routine. Labor intensive, hands-on crafts-person ship. It is a classic, the hand fabrication is apparent and a part of the piece. This design is a classical beauty. Destined to be a favorite. I do not typically resize rings. But I do consider making other versions in other sizes as special requests.
