I PRESENT FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION THIS: Magnificent Antique Vintage VICTORIAN Solid Silver LARGE Aesthetic LOCKET- Beautifully Engraved on the Front - With Detailed Swirling Engraving- Comes on a SPECTACULAR Solid Silver Vintage COLLAR NECKLACE or BOOK CHAIN The section which goes around the neck measures approximately 44cm or 17" & 5/16 inches in length. The width of the necklace is approximately 1cm wide - The Drop is approximately 5cm or 2" inches. Beautiful & Intricate Engraving on the Front of this Locket. It is adorned with Beautiful Detail and pretty swirling patterns. This Outstanding Chain is a Solid Silver Vintage Collar Necklace or Book Chain - The section which goes around the neck is approximately 44cm in length (17" & 5/16" inches) - the Drop that leads to the locket is approx. 5cm or 2" inches long. Total weight of the locket and chain is approx. 41.15 grams. This is a beautiful Antique Victorian LARGE Solid Silver Aesthetic Locket which is more than 100 years old. There is a stunning engraved design on the front of this locket, and the back has a polished finish. There is a detailed swirling design on the front and it is a work of art. On the top of the locket, is a pretty bracket which adds to the detail. The locket is in amazing condition with no dents or damage. The inside of the locket there is two photo frames, although I think one may be a replacement. Nevertheless, they are both there and I have made new photo covers and purple backing paper. This Chain is a beautiful and substantial, solid Silver Collar Necklace or Book Chain. It is extremely decorative and detailed with large "O" rings that connect long silver links. These long links are beautifully engraved with forget me knot flowers, it is truly beautiful. The chain is solid silver and the section that goes around your neck measures approximately 44cm in length or 17" & 5/16" inches in length. It also has a small drop section that measures approx. 5cm or approx. 2" inches. Lockets where often worn on Collar necklaces or Book Chains in Victorian and Edwardian times, and this is an exceptional example. The bolt ring clasp at the front is a decorative large round shape that allows both sides of the chain to be disconnected. To one side of the bolt ring there are two little arms which when pinched together release and open. It makes the chain very easy to put on and does not interfere with whatever is hanging from the drop. At the base of the drop there is another bolt ring so you can attach whatever locket or pendant you choose. Other large pendants can be worn on this outstanding Collar Necklace or Book chain and would also look wonderful. Also, the locket can be worn on other types of chains as it can easily be removed from the Collar Necklace or Book Chain. This Collar Necklace - Book chain is unmarked this was very common in Victorian times. It has been professionally tested and tests as high-grade silver, likely sterling. Both the locket and Collar Chain have been professionally cleaned and look stunning. * This lovely locket is sterling silver and is marked on the back "STL SILR" for sterling silver. Please see last photo. * The Collar Necklace is Solid Silver and is unmarked. It has been tested and test as high-grade silver. * There is a detailed and intricate design engraved on the front of this locket. It is a magnificent design. The back has a polished finish. * Both the original photo frames are present in this locket (although one may be a replacement). The original glass photo covers are missing; therefore, I have made new plastic photo covers and purple backing paper. * TOTAL LENGTH of the Locket INCLUDING THE BALE AND LOOP IS Approximately 5.7cm (2" & 1/4" inches). The locket without the bale measures approximately 4.5 cm long x 3.5 cm (1" & 3/4" by 1" & 3/8"), (NOT including the bale or top ring). The Bale & top loop are another 1.2cm in length. The locket is approximately 10mm or 1cm thick. * The chain is Solid Silver and is a Superb Antique Collar Necklace or Book Chain. It is unmarked but has been acid tested. It tests for high grade silver. * The width of the chain is approximately 10mm wide, with large "O" rings connecting long rectangular links that are engraved with pretty forget me knots. This amazing and rare Collar Necklace or Book Chain is in excellent antique condition. The section that goes around the neck measures approx. 44cm in length or 17" & 5/16" inches, which is a wonderful length for this design. The drop section measures approx. 5cm or 2" inches from the top of the disc (Clasp) to the bottom of the ring which holds the locket. Including the locket, it measures approx. 10.2cm or 4" inches from the top of the disc (Clasp) to the bottom of the locket. * There is no dents or damage visible on this locket or collar necklace. There are a few barely visible marks to the silver which you would expect from vintage jewellery, but they are not obvious. This is a Vintage locket and chain which I believe is in Excellent Vintage Condition. The locket opens, closes and locks perfectly. * This locket and collar necklace will come in the lovely large gift box pictured or one similar. THIS IS A FANTASTIC ORIGINAL ITEM.
