Hello and welcome to the Textile Trunk! Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk What a cool find! These appear to be some kind of naval crackerjack pant, which is a type of pant that has a sort of front panel that buttons down. These seem to be modified - they do not have all the buttons that true crackerjack pants would have. Perhaps they are a costume or a recreation of some sort? They are made of blue felted wool, and I would date them to the 1960s or later, but I am not completely sure on that. They have a tag at the waistband, (see photographs), which might have been the name of their owner? A military man or an actor, who knows? Either way, incredible heavy wool pants in great shape. Wonderful for decor, wear, use as a costume, or more! MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately: 28 inches long 31 inch waist 40 inch hip 15 inch inseam CONDITION : These pants are in as found, not freshly laundered condition. These pants are in lovely condition indeed! There is some fading on the wool on each edge but especially the right hip. Otherwise, amazing condition, not without signs of time and use often inherent in these wonderful pieces! ( E pants 23G ) 05/14/2021
