The shelf helps to keep you organize and keep your potting bench tabletop clean. It also has a lower Shelf where you can store pots, planting mix, fertilizer or other gardening tools This premium heavy duty potting bench is much sturdier than the cheaper ones available. The legs are made from 4x4 cedar posts. Which gives the table extra weight and strength for stability. If you need more room. You can order it with the side wings. These two side shelves add an additional 9" of with to each side. They are sturdy enough to support pots filled with dirt. You can also order it with the tall back organizer. Which has an additional top shelf for small items like seeds, gloves or other things. It also includes four hooks for hanging your gardening tools in an easy to reach place This bench is about 36" long, 24" deep and has a 36 inch high work surface. The overall height is about 42 1/2". The side wings add approximately 9" to each side. The tall back organizer has 4 hooks that giving you approximately 18" of space to hang your tools. The Tall Back adds an additional 23" to the back making the overall height about 65 1/2". Now available in a 47" and 56" length. If you order the 56" potting bench with the tall back. The overall height is about 64". The tall back has to be a little shorter due to shipping restrictions. Every potting bench is fully assembled in my woodshop to ensure all holes line up and everything fits right. Then it's partially disassembled to save on shipping.
