These are compact, detailed, and printer friendly instructions for the Celtic Visions chainmail weave or pattern to use with chain mail jump rings. Upon purchase you will be able to download a pdf file for use on any device or for printing a hard copy. Celtic Visions forms great chains for bracelets and necklaces and can be modified to form stars called Celtic Stars and sheets (not covered in these instructions). The name comes from the Celtic Knot work it looks like. This weave may be made with rings of different gauge sizes, and is common for jewelry pieces. The example ring sizes provided and the rings used in these instructions are of different gauges. The rings used in these instructions are 16 ga 5/16" (.063"/1.6 mm, 0.32"/8.2mm) which has an Aspect Ratio of 5.2, and 18 ga 3/16" (.048"/1.2 mm, 0.195"/5.0mm) which has an Aspect Ratio of 4.1. If you wish to use a smaller gauge size for the smaller rings, maintain the same ID or the larger rings won't fit.
