Chevron and Millefiori Venetian beaded Antique Necklace with turquoise, red and orange Coral, Vintage Carnelian, Malachite, Chrysoprase and Amethyst gemstone beads. 6 layers Chevron bead necklace with Antique Millefiori glass various colors collected from 1930's. This necklace measures 23" with an extension bronze oval Rolo chain of 4 more inches for a total of 27" in total length. There is a genuine Amethyst & a bronze leaf accent hanging from the extension chain. Finished with a Bali bronze hook clasp closure. Vintage various sizes and colors of genuine gemstone beads from rare orange coral to blue turquoise. The Focal chevron bead is 1.65" by 1" The surrounding beads range in size from 18mm down to 12mm. The process involves stretching and shaping regular arrangements of multicoloured rods of glass. Normally the colours are added and a shape is created before the molten glass is stretched into a long thin cane. The cane can then be cut to size for use as beads or placed on a gather of molten glass (pea) for inclusion into murrina paperweights or blown vases.
