The halloween pumpkin, also called Jack o Lantern, is an Irish legend. A lantern carried by the Stingy Jack, the man who deceived the devil twice. He was rejected by the Heaven and the Hell after your death and was condemned to roam the world between good and evil to haunt others for all eternity with a lantern made of a hollow turnip to lit your path. The turnip with a scary face was replaced by a pumpkin that is used nowadays.
