Some color loss on the gold tone clasp and a few tiny spots of wear on the etched metal, which looks to me like there's copper underneath. This is a low grade silver chain. What does that mean? Most silver chains we sell are English silver with clear hallmarks on every link. We also sell fancier chains which may be stamped Sterling. This chain has no silver marks. So we test it with acid for its purity and in this case get a low testing. So the silver content in the chain did not have enough to earn some sort of stamp.
