Demet Olesen is our Chief Commercial Officer after decades of experience in the pharma industry. Her leadership roles in coveted companies such as Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, Baxter International Inc. and PTC Therapeutics, Inc. over the years shaped her conviction that AI can be a powerful tool to address drug design.  “AI is revolutionizing drug discovery and transforming healthcare by speeding up the development of safer treatments for common diseases while offering new hope for patients with rare conditions. It allows for the creation of targeted therapies in areas where traditional methods have faced challenges. At InVirtuoLabs our ultimate goal is to enhance patient outcomes. With the help of AI, a brighter future is on the horizon in humanity's fight against suffering, making the financial resources of nations less of a barrier. I am excited to be part of this transformation,” affirms Demet. An industrial engineer by training at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul where she completed her Bachelor’s degree, Demet then went ahead to pursue a MBA at University of West Georgia in the United States. Here is our Co-founder Stefano Muscat, an expert in integrating enhanced molecular simulations for drug design applications. Stefano completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. He then moved to Switzerland to pursue a PhD in Informatics at USI Università della Svizzera italiana. Stefano was a postdoctoral researcher at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia before co-founding InVirtuoLabs. After years of research, Stefano asserts, "Synthetic data from molecular modeling is proving crucial for effective AI-driven drug discovery.
