    A taste of L’OCCITANE en Provence magic in the heart of Dubai...?✨ Check out my experience in 30 sec! 🎥 Recently, while on holiday in Qatar and Dubai, I couldn't resist visiting our beautiful L’OCCITANE en Provence shops—whether at the airport or in the heart of the city. In Dubai, I had the fantastic opportunity to meet Mariana Rodrigues, Marketing Director for L’OCCITANE en Provence Middle East, and Mary Selim, Creative and Communication Manager, who welcomed me warmly and introduced me to the L’OCCITANE Café at City Walk. A special mention and thank you to Chef Milan Milosavic for the delicious experience (for those who know the foodie in me, I can tell you everything was divine! 😋). I also visited our boutique in The Dubai Mall, beautifully decked out for the festive season. Thank you, Sondes (shop supervisor) for the warm welcome and insights on customer preferences. Travelling aboard a unique vessel, this initiative showcases how plastic waste can be transformed into valuable resources, such as roof tiles and transport pallets, while empowering coastal and underserved communities to implement low-cost, scalable recycling systems. The mission? To address the alarming 19 tonnes of plastic entering oceans every minute by enabling local businesses to treat waste and generate sustainable income through micro-factories. By focusing on education, open-source solutions, and grassroots collaboration, Plastic Odyssey is fostering a global network of change makers committed to tackling plastic pollution at its source. Last month, the expedition docked at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, bringing this critical mission to the region. During its stop, Maison L’Occitane en Provence partnered with the initiative to co-host the ‘Ocean or Plastic?’ pop-up exhibition. This immersive event invited visitors to reimagine their relationship with plastic and featured: A showcase of Plastic Odyssey’s global expedition and recycling innovations. A hands-on workshop where attendees crafted bag charms from upcycled plastic, turning waste into art. Displays of Maison L’Occitane en Provence’s sustainability efforts, including its eco-refill programme. As the principal sponsor of Plastic Odyssey’s global maritime expedition, Maison L’Occitane en Provence is driving innovation in repurposing plastic waste while raising awareness of its environmental impact. This partnership took centre stage during the Ocean or Plastic? pop-up exhibition in Hong Kong’s Harbour City, which highlighted: Plastic Odyssey’s mission and innovative recycling techniques. Maison L’Occitane en Provence’s progress in reducing plastic use through its eco-refill programme. Interactive workshops encouraging upcycled art and creative approaches to waste.
