The Merchant General Store is located in a building completed in 1912. The store still has original floors, counters, shelving and tin ceiling.

this was the coolest museum...they had products from another time and i'm just old enough that i remembered a lot of the packaging for these products. when i was a child in the early sixties in omaha, nebraska we still had stores with wooden floors and barrels filled with various items...the smell of this museum brought back so many memories! elena being from another country was completely fascinated by this fantastic space...if you find yourself in palm springs please check this place out…
