Bible verse hopscotch

Books of the Bible Hopscotch - This is such a fun, clever and active way for kids to practice the books of the bible! Great for Sunday School Lessons for 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade kids.

Items needed: One very long piece of butcher paper, marker, and perhaps a cd or download of your favorite New Testament Books of the Bible song Make a hopscotch pattern on the paper. (Think about it before you start drawing so that the books that are multiples can be side by side, such as

Draw a hopscotch pattern on the floor with chalk or masking tape. Place words cards in every box. Secure them to the floor with tape. Children take turns hoping through the grid while everyone in class quotes the verse as they hop.

Indoor Bible verse hopscotch for when it's too cold/rainy/dark outside! Use bulletin board paper or newsprint rolls from your local newspaper office.

Gather: Painters tape or chalk (depending if you can go outside) Pre-printed Bible verse pieces (you will need 10) Bubble wrap Instructions: Draw or tape a hopscotch board. Place pre-printed Bible verse pieces in the hopscotch spots. Tape pieces down so they don’t move. Have the kids say the verse as they play
