Wide-angle lenses are generally used for photographing landscapes and architecture. But what about using them to take portraits? In this article, we’ll look at how to position your subject when you’re shooting portraits with an ultra-wide lens, how high to shoot from, and what to keep in mind when choosing an environment.

Mount Vernon, United States, I wanted to try and do a 70’s theme for this picture. My model really pulled it off very well, while the cigarette brought it more of that time period. I saw this fallen tree and thought about what kind of shot would look the best. I tried one low shot and from that point took 20 more. I feel like low angle shots can really show more emotion to what a person is thinking. This is my favorite shot from all of my shoots and I’m excited for me to keep going!, SONY…
