#recipe (16 servings)
Syrup
❤️ 140 mL water
❤️ 115g caster sugar
❤️ 135g honey
❤️ 1 Tbsp lemon juice
Baklava
❤️ 40 sheets filo pastry (cut to size)
❤️ 280g salted butter, melted
❤️ 420g nutella
❤️ 250g hazelnuts, finely chopped

1.Make the syrup first to ensure it’s cool when making the baklava. If you pour hot syrup over a hot baklava it will go soggy. Add all ingredients to a saucepan and bring to the boil. Then reduce heat to low and simmer for 6 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool, refrigerate.
