After reading The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds with music & sound effects using Novel Effect, distribute these gallery picture frames to students on 8.5x11 paper with a variety of crayons or paint. Have them draw something using only dots! Encourage trying something different. Use scissors to carefully cut out the frames along the dotted line! Ask students to share their work in small groups. As a class, display each picture and discuss the different ways that dots & colors were used! 🎨
