This design is a success in so many ways. We love the traditional western bolo tie, but we wanted a more feminine version of it. We've used traditional southwestern silversmithing using .925 twist wire accents -- oxidized, sanded and polished. This necklace closes in the back with a clasp like any necklace and uses an ultra-comfortable .925 Sterling Silver rope chain -- the sterling silver chain "tips" are an added bonus, and really add a lot. An LBJ original! The Mock Bolo. features a .925 Sterling Silver Lobster Clasp and closes anywhere between 14 and 18 inches. Turquoise - 13x18mm -- you choose your stone in the dropdown Total width - 20mm .925 Sterling Silver Chain 14-18 inches - meant to be worn close in but adjustable. All traditional Silversmithing is done in my Baltimore, MD studio. Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man's history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch, healing to the eye, as if carved from an azure heaven and slipped to earth. Its unique shade of blue, often blue-green, lends its name, Turquoise, to all things of this tranquil hue. The delicate veining or mottled webbing in cream or brown is inherent to the stone and serves to enhance its character. All jewelry designs are created using natural gemstones. There will be some natural variation in the jewelry. Our best is done to represent colors and markings in our photos. Thanks for visiting my handcrafted jewelry collection.
