Clear handrail with solid brass brackets and end caps. The pole is made from high quality acrylic and the hardware is all solid cast brass, with heavy nickel plating for nickel finishes. I hand finish and assemble every item personally in my London workshop. Details: - The rod is 38mm in diameter. - The rod center projects 73mm from the wall (an industry standard). - These are custom made: length is specified by the customer, and can be specified with or without returns either end of the last brackets - All finishes are unlacquered, also known as a "living finish" as it naturally patinas with time. - Matching mounting screws are included. - For handrails longer than 165cm this will be shipped in equal length sections, with the joints in the rods hidden within wall brackets. The end result appears as a seamless continuous rod and allows me to offer any length you need. Clear handrails are very versatile - they have a decluttering effect on stairways. They work just as well in period homes as well as contemporary, on plain walls and wallpaper. On their own, the style of the brackets and the nature of the acrylic material is mid-to-late 20th Century.
