A pair of mesmerizing Art Deco earrings just to dream of. Made in 19.2 karat gold with settings done in silver, featuring a cluster design of diamonds and carré cut sapphires. The design is so unmistakable characteristic for the early Art Deco period: a symmetrical quatrefoil cluster using the bare minimum of metal to give all the emphasis on the gemstones. The center is set with a old European cut diamond of ca. 0.07 ct. in a surround of rose cut diamonds and calibrated sapphires. In total 34 rose cut diamonds and 16 sapphires. Provenance: Portugal, ca. 1920. Hallmarked at the pins indicating Portugal. Length: ca. 2 cm. Gross weight: 4.25 g. Condition: in very good condition considering the age, slight signs of wear visible with loupe. Clasps are working well. This pair of earrings comes with the box in the picture.
