Small Tibetan GAU with turquoise and "Om" characters. A rare handmade piece from Nepal. I purchased this gaus from a Tibetan living in exile in Nepal. Tibetan gaus can be opened at the back like small boxes. Tibetans wear so-called gaus around their necks. They are used to store religious good luck charms and medicinal herbs.
