English: Robert Eisenman is an American archaeologist, Biblical scholar, historian, and "road" poet. He is most famous for his groundbreaking work on the Dead Sea Scrolls and the origins of Christianity. Eisenman received his B.A. from Cornell University in 1958, an M.A. from New York University in 1966, and a Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1971.
