bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm
Im Namen Gottes, des Allergnädigsten, des Gnadenspenders:

الحمد لله رب العلمين
al-ḥamdu li-llāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīn
Aller Preis gebührt Gott allein, dem Erhalter aller Welten,

الرحمن الرحيم
ar-raḥmāni r-raḥīm
dem Allergnädigsten, dem Gnadenspender,
4.
ملك يوم الدين
māliki yaumi d-dīn
dem Herrn des Tages des Gerichts!
5.
إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين
iyyāka naʿbudu wa-iyyāka nastaʿīn
Dich allein beten wir an; und zu Dir allein wenden wir uns um Hilfe.
6.
اهدنا الصرط المستقيم
ihdinā ṣ-ṣirāṭa l-mustaqīm
Leite uns den geraden Weg –
7.
صرط الذين أنعمت عليهم غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضآلين
ṣirāṭa llaḏīna anʿamta ʿalaihim ġairi l-maġḍūbi ʿalaihim wa-lā ḍ-ḍāllīn
den Weg jener, denen Du Deine Segnungen erteilt hast, nicht jener, die (von dir) verdammt wurden, noch jener, die irregehen!
