We have developed a green tech material that can be used to attract spat in the water column and allow them to settle and grow rapidly.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Oyster populations have been knocked back 90% worldwide. They are a keystone species for numerous fisheries around the world, they filter water, and prevent shoreline erosion. With pollution, storms, overbuilding on coasts, overfishing, etc. hitting all time highs, a green tech, economical solution is needed. These oysters are five months old, and thanks also to a unique geometry, the impact of predators is minimized. Help us save the oceans! We are a university group working with a nonprofit marine lab.
