Food logging

ANSWERED

I find that the food nutrition database is insufficient for New Zealand. For the past 8 months I've had to manually input my food. The time it takes to do this with all my meals is tiresome. The bar codes don't register to the Fitbit database. The stored info I've manually input is all I got to rely on. But I'm guessing so much of the cal content. Also the protein tab isn't reliable. A cup of edamame beans is 18grams no 2. So I can't follow my weight loss journey with this app. Do others have the same struggles or ...success?

@CiRei   Fitbit has 18 food databases available, but there isn't a separate New Zealand database.  There is an old Feature Request, but Fitbit marked it Not Currently Planned several years ago.  My usual suggestion is to start a new request, but that could take a long time to get a new decision.  Is there a lot of overlap with the Australian database or not much at all?

There is a note in the note in Fitbit's Help article that says that barcode scanning only helps with the US food database.  I only use the US database, so I can't confirm.

I moved your post to the Manage Weight forum.  I think it is a better fit for your issue.  You labelled your post with Premium, but food logging doesn't require Premium.
