Sense 2 can't get GPS to connect

Apologies if this has been discussed to death but I can't seem to find a solution in the forums that works.

I got a refurbished Sense 2 recently and all seems good but the GPS doesn't seem to want to connect at all. Whenever I open the maps app it just says 'Failed to fetch...' and clicking on the marker icon just says 'GPS denied'. Everything else on my watch and the app seems to be fine. I've tried synching multiple times. Restarting the watch. The app on my phone has location permissions enabled. I'm out of options. It's pretty bad this appears to be an ongoing thing with no real clear directions on how to fix it.

Just for some extra info, when I first set up my watch my home WiFi wouldn't appear. I suspect that was something to do with my WiFi. So I used my phone as a hotspot for setup. I don't see how this could be in any way related to the GPS issue though as my watch shouldn't need constant access to home WiFi to work. I don't really understand.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Samurai87 welcome to the Fitbit Community, It's great to have you here!

Thank you for the details provided. Let me help you with the Maps app on your Sense 2.

In fact it is actually a requirement to have internet access to use this app on your watch. In order to work around this, i recommend that you uninstall reinstall this app and grant all the permissions requested during the setup.

To uninstall the app, follow the instructions in our help article How do I install and manage apps on my Fitbit device? below the sections "How do I remove apps from my Fitbit watch?" and "How do I add apps to my Fitbit device?". I appreciate your time in this process.

I hope this suggestions will be helpful to resolve this issue with your Sense 2.
