Info

Was wir damit meinen?

If you’ve heard of Amazon, you probably know how important it is to us that we’re customer obsessed. But, how do we stay that way? After all, good intentions don’t work – we need great mechanisms. In 2002, we launched Customer Connection (C2). It started as a simple program to keep leaders connected to the frontline by creating immersive listening sessions to hear raw, unfiltered feedback straight from our customer service calls. It still exists today in our CEO of Worldwide Stores, Doug Herrington’s organization, and has evolved into a global comprehensive system that empowers Amazonians to create exceptional customer experiences. We don’t just use the program to understand and investigate ways we can improve, we also use it to share praise from customers with employees around the world. One particular customer called in to thank our operations team and the delivery drivers who make Amazon possible for her. So, we went around to let them hear it for themselves! 🥰 Thanks to all of our employees around the world who are making another holiday season happen for millions of customers around the world. PS—if you’re an employee, sign up for a C2 session here! https://amzn.to/3D8K3DT

It’s been three years since I was last at #AWSreInvent and excited to be back. Am going to try doing a few low-key videos this week on recapping what I’m excited about and what we’re hearing from customers. Will start this series with a little reminiscing about the origin of AWS re:Invent. Intend to share some thoughts on some launches tomorrow.

Excited about our deepening partnership with Anthropic. About a year ago, AWS became Anthropic’s primary cloud partner (which you can also see by the substantial momentum of Anthropic on Amazon Bedrock). Today, we become Anthropic’s primary foundation model training partner. Anthropic is excited about the price-performance advantage that Trainium offers, and we’re grateful for this confidence and partnership. Early days for what’s to come… https://lnkd.in/gzn8ZSkw

Earning trust is not about: 🚫 Agreeing with everything for the sake of social cohesion. 🚫 Denying or covering up mistakes to look good. 🚫 Manipulating data to avoid a difficult conversation. It’s about: ✅ Listening intently and challenging respectfully when you disagree. ✅ Delivering what you said you would. ✅ Presenting data transparently. Our CEO Andy Jassy talks through these common misconceptions and 7 other things you may not know about our Leadership Principles: https://amzn.to/3Z0XHjB

Have you ever seen a stylish jacket on TV and wondered where you could get it? With Amazon Lens, problem solved!✨ Just open the Amazon app, tap the camera icon, and snap a picture of the object you're interested in. Amazon Lens uses AI to analyze the image, identifying key features like color, shape, and texture. One of the biggest mistakes we see candidates make in their interviews is not presenting their accomplishments in a clear and concise way. If an interviewer can’t follow your stories, it’s difficult for them to assess whether you’re a fit for our role and company. That’s why we’re not secretive about our expectations. We ask behavioral-based interview questions and interviewees should use the STAR method to respond. The acronym stands for: Situation, Task, Action, and Results. ⭐ Situation: start with a clear description of a situation you were in. Avoid rambling, but offer enough detail for the interviewer to understand the complexities of it. ⭐ Task: clearly state the goal. ⭐ Action: what steps did you take? What was your contribution? Let us know what you did, not what your team or group did. ⭐ Result: don’t be shy about taking credit. What happened? How did it end? Provide examples using data. This might seem like common sense, but job interviews (at any company!) can be nerve-wracking. Most people feel some sort of pre-interview anxiety no matter what the company is. So, the more someone is prepared with a wide range of thoughtfully organized stories, the more likely they are to set themselves up for success. What other interview tips do you recommend? Here are some of ours: https://amzn.to/4eogknj
